In Berlin, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has condemned far-right protesters who tried to storm Germany's parliament building.
The group – some waving imperial German flags – managed to reach the entrance of the Reichstag building before police forced them back. Seehofer said the action was intolerable and showed the government needed to take robust action.
It happened alongside a demonstration that drew nearly 40,000 people to protest Germany’s coronavirus restrictions, hundreds of whom were arrested.
